My Background
After earning my Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University in 2002, I spent eight years supporting diverse clients at non-profit agencies.
In 2010, I opened my private practice to focus on adults who invest in personal change. In 2020, I added neurofeedback to boost focus, calm, and emotional balance.
After more than 20 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I’ve dedicated my office to helping driven adults break free from the cycle of anxiety, irritability, and exhaustion. I understand the world you live in — the high expectations at work, the desire to be present for your family, and the quiet frustration of knowing you’re capable of more but feeling held back by a racing mind.
What continues to motivate me is witnessing the real transformation that happens when someone finally gets the right support. I’ve had the privilege of guiding hundreds of adults through this journey, and I know from experience that meaningful change is absolutely achievable.
My Approach
I believe the most effective path forward addresses both behavior and the brain. That’s why I offer both personalized talk therapy and neurofeedback — and the powerful combination of the two — in one practice.
Whether you need help rewiring anxious thought patterns, calming an overactive nervous system, or both, my style is practical, warm, and results-focused. I meet you where you are, listen deeply, and work with you to create lasting shifts that fit into your busy life. Sessions are available in-person in Alexandria or virtually, whichever works best for your schedule.
Real Client Transformations
Here’s what’s possible when we work together:
An anxious leader who overanalyzed every email and meeting preparation learned to trust his own judgment, communicate more clearly, and step into stronger leadership.
A professional whose work stress spilled into home life — making him short-tempered with his kids — developed better strategies, responded more patiently as a parent, and started enjoying family time again.
A supervisor struggling with team dynamics learned to manage various personalities effectively — reducing his exhaustion and leading his team with greater calm and confidence.
An anxious woman became more assertive at work, so she could speak up confidently in meetings, set healthy boundaries, and advance her career without constant self-doubt.
Many professionals navigating major life stressors — such as mid-life divorce or loss — learned to process grief, stabilize their mood, and maintain responsibilities with greater balance and hope.
